As part of our English program, Mrs. Makélé sent our class of 1ere L to four classes of 5eme by groups of two or three to present the story of Guy Fawkes and Bonfire night. It is an important event in the United Kingdom to commemorate the failure of the gunpowder plot which took place on the 5th of November, 1605. The plan was to blow up the Protestant parliament who were opposed to Catholics at the time.
With the help of a personal PowerPoint, each group explained the story to the 5eme by taking the place of their teachers. To make sure they understood, we made them play games such as quizzes, word searches and mazes.
It was an interesting experience for us, as well as new, and we all enjoyed it.
